Description
Ballaminers House is an old Cornish farmhouse and has been featured in two glossy magazines and is a member of Wolsey Lodges . The house retains many original features including slate floors and wooden shutters downstairs and original wooden floors in the bedrooms. The bedrooms are very light and are well furnished and include some pieces of antique furniture, paintings or prints. Generously proportioned good quality beds, luxury bath towels and towelling dressing gowns and peace and tranquility are sure to relax you during your stay. Bedrooms have a hospitality tray and a basket of magazines. Breakfast is cooked on our Aga and we use locally sourced produce wherever possible . We offer either a full English or Continental breakfast. Homemade jams and local honey with your breakfast are served in the dining room furnished in traditional style with family heirlooms and interesting paintings and pictures. We also offer cream teas. Guests are welcome to use the sitting room where there is a flat screen television and a selection of books. Amanda is keen on art and is happy to point art lovers in the right direction. Please note that like many other private home owners we do have other committments and therefore kindly ask that guests staying at the house are out during the day . The house opens again at 4.30pm

Ballaminers House is positioned in a quiet elevated village position only two miles south of Padstow and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant and cookery school.The house is also very conveniet for access to all other parts of Cornwall. We are only twenty minutes from Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall Restaurant at Watergate Bay, Fistral Beach . and Newquay Airport operating regular flights to Stanstead and Gatwick and the beautiful Scilly Isles. Cycling on the Camel Trail is within easy reach and we have wonderful walks nearby including the Saints Way. Beautiful beaches to spoil you ,Trevose and St Enodoc Golf courses are also very close. The Eden Project is only forty minutes away . The Maritime museum at Falmouth is within easy reach. Cornwall has many historic houses and beautiful gardens to visit. For Art lovers the Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth museum and Penzance are both only forty five minutes drive from the house. Newylyn art gallery and Penlee House are also well worth a visi
